At the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation (USNA AA&F), every day is #GivingTuesday. The work we do at the Foundation directly supports our Brigade of Midshipmen to ensure they reach their full potential to lead and serve. The support you have contributed this year, and continue to contribute, directly impacts the development of our midshipmen and in turn, our nation’s defense. Together, we are preparing midshipmen for service and leadership in today’s world.

REMEMBERING JULIA HUTCHISON
|
The U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation regrets to announce the passing of Julia Hutchison, former Associate Director of the President’s Circle. Ms. Hutchison, together with CAPT Roland “Ron” Brandquist ’60, USN (Ret.), former president of the Alumni Association, founded the President’s Circle in 1995 to honor the generosity of 110 charter donors who collectively gave $1.3M dollars in a single calendar year. Nearly three decades later, the President’s Circle has grown to become the Naval Academy’s premier annual donor recognition society, now numbering over 2,300 donors.
From 1982 until her retirement in 2013, Ms. Hutchison devoted over 30 years of dedicated service to the Foundation and its constituents. Her leadership was instrumental in cultivating a culture of philanthropy at the U.S. Naval Academy and her legacy endures through the generosity of every President’s Circle donor.
We invite those who knew and worked with Ms. Hutchison to share their memories via email at presidentscircle@usna.com. For more information about the history of the President’s Circle and the Foundation, please read “President’s Circle Courtesies Get a Refresh.”

Support the Naval Academy Fund
|
The Naval Academy Fund provides essential unrestricted support to address the most pressing needs of the U.S. Naval Academy and the Alumni Association and Foundation. We are excited to introduce a new way to honor our most generous unrestricted donors. This digital display highlights the annual contributions of donors who make gifts of $5,000 or more to the Naval Academy Fund each year, offering individuals a yearly opportunity to be celebrated in the Fluegel Alumni Center.
All gifts of $5,000 or more to the Naval Academy Fund made between 1 January–31 December 2024 will be recognized in the following calendar year, upon the closing of 2024.
The Naval Academy Fund is a versatile and unrestricted fund that allows the Superintendent flexibility to meet the emerging needs of the Academy and underwrites mission-critical activities of the U.S. Naval Academy Alumni Association and Foundation to serve the Academy and all alumni.
